A Picture of Love

If ever there were a perfect

couple it would be these two...

The love between these two can only be described on the big screen...

they have the kind of love that was experienced in the "olden days"

genuine good old fashioned "young love"

together they are bringing into the world a little bundle of joy...

This baby is very blessed and will be loved greatly...

Ashley is such a cute LITTLE pregnant mom...did I mention she was full term when we took these...

Thanks Ashley for letting me take a true picture of love!

Erica & Ryan

Our friend from Escalante is getting married and she asked me to do the pictures....

First I was excited and humbled that she would ask me...

then a wave of anxiety set in...

"What if she doesn't like them, what if I don't catch everything?"

But after spending the day with Erica, Ryan, & Sheri my mind was set at ease...

Erica's family is amazing...they are truly great people!

Erica & Ryan are such a fun couple to be around and I look forward to the wedding!

I'm also trying a few new things in the graphic design area.... (Candis & Hyrum's Thank You cards)

Hmm....who knows what might be in store?

You know me, always have to try new things!

Time to Create

I've actually found a little time between weddings, baby showers, birthdays, and softball to create a few new items...
I will admit I've used most of this hand stamped ribbon for personal use...can't help it I love it!

And it looks so great on a gift...

I'm now offering sets of handmade note cards as well...
I've also been working on some new jewelry designs...

More to come when I find more time to create & post...

Spring time in a Small Town...

What comes to mind when you think of Spring....

Maybe beautiful blooming tulips...

or how about birds chirping and green grass...

or how about a sleet storm, turned rain, and then snow...

No, not really what you were thinking? Well that is exactly what Mother Nature brought our sleepy little town this afternoon, me and Mother Nature would get along great...I love her sense of humor!

And after all that icky white stuff she brought us this...

Fog, and lots of it...

A peek of Main street standing outside the front of my store...

This was to fun to sit and enjoy inside so I closed up shop and went zipping around town snapping photo's...yeah I was the crazy "tourist" looking person with camera in hand stopping off the side of the road...

The old "Glade" house...so much history in these walls, if they could only talk...this house is one of the oldest houses in our town still standing...my father owned it at one time and sold it back to the family of the original owners...he says the fog makes it look creepy, I like to use the word mysterious...

I've been working on some new items for Spring so stop by my boutique and check things out, I will post pictures as soon as I get more time:) Thanks everyone!

White linens, Spring flowers, & a Happy Couple!

The day started out with a fulfilling dinner with friends & family...

The Fillmore's worked there tails off to put on a wonderful spring time lunch for 300 guests
Following the lunch was the ceremony...

Short & Sweet! It was beautiful, don't get me wrong, that is the way EVERY ceremony should be...short & sweet!

We managed to squeeze in a little time for pictures...she should have alot of cute ones to choose from seeing how she hired only 1 photographer but she ended up with about 4...

And some where between "I Do" and getting things ready for the reception we managed to squeeze in a little game of Skinny Bird & Ride Ride Ride that Pony...

I think at about this time the Bride's in-laws were wondering what the heck their son had married into...what can I say, we can turn anything into a good time!

The reception was wonderful...They are so lucky to have such supportive friends & family it was a great turn out...thanks to everyone who made an effort to come and show your support!

And you can't have a good 'ole fashion Wayne County wedding with out that darn tradition that has been going on since our Grand-fathers time...

If your not familiar with the tradition (this usually is where the unknowing bride gets VERY angry) it goes a little something like this....5 minutes until the reception is over, the groom is getting very nervous, not because he just realized he's no longer a single bachelor, but because his buddies, brothers, uncles, & cousin's are now surrounding him...
why you ask, well the groom is about to take a short ride to the nearest river, pond, lake, or canal...and is about to get thrown in by all of these loving men, some go willingly, some crawl out of church windows to get away, and some run for blocks, but I can guarantee they will get the groom in that water, it's all in fun and most grooms feel bad if their buddies didn't care enough to show up for this hilarious tradition!

on that note it was a wonderful wedding...and was our last wedding in the Brown family (tear)
thanks again to everyone that helped to make this event one to remember!

What's your Story?

This is a story about a girl,

a girl who has documented her whole life in journals...

that girl is me...

I haven't documented my WHOLE existence but I did start when I was only 15 years old

I would write in my journal basically every night before I went to bed, even it was 2:00 a.m. (sorry mom for staying out so late when I was a teenager)

Anytime I want a good laugh, I just pull out those old journals from high school, who knew one girl could have so many different crushes at that age?!?
A small glimpse of my journal collection

As I got older and well life was, lets say, less dramatic, the entries slowed down...

I would write when something big happened or when I needed to vent...

then last week I pulled out my journal to start on an entry and was ashamed at how much time had gone by, how many memories I might forget because I didn't write them down...

flashes of the movie "Notebook" are running through my mind right about now...

so with the new year I've made it a goal of mine to get back to my roots and do what I love ~writing~

Items now available in my boutique 7 different styles to choose from

and I've found just the inspiration I need to do that~Her Words Composition Books with beautiful vignettes by poet Monique Duval

when I stumbled across these little beauties, I HAD to have them!

hopefully it won't take long to fill one up, choosing just one, impossible!

Along with the beautiful composition books I'm also offering a few gift books in my boutique, for such a small package these books are spilling over with inspiration!

My challenge for all of you is to start a journal, obviously a lot of us already do that in blogland but I'm talking about a good old fashioned journal that you keep close to your heart, a place you can go back to in times of hardship, or just to reminisce, or to find inspiration...

I am SO thankful I took the time to write down my everyday feelings & activities...those journals will be a piece of my story left behind and will forever be priceless...
