White linens, Spring flowers, & a Happy Couple!

The day started out with a fulfilling dinner with friends & family...

The Fillmore's worked there tails off to put on a wonderful spring time lunch for 300 guests
Following the lunch was the ceremony...

Short & Sweet! It was beautiful, don't get me wrong, that is the way EVERY ceremony should be...short & sweet!

We managed to squeeze in a little time for pictures...she should have alot of cute ones to choose from seeing how she hired only 1 photographer but she ended up with about 4...

And some where between "I Do" and getting things ready for the reception we managed to squeeze in a little game of Skinny Bird & Ride Ride Ride that Pony...

I think at about this time the Bride's in-laws were wondering what the heck their son had married into...what can I say, we can turn anything into a good time!

The reception was wonderful...They are so lucky to have such supportive friends & family it was a great turn out...thanks to everyone who made an effort to come and show your support!

And you can't have a good 'ole fashion Wayne County wedding with out that darn tradition that has been going on since our Grand-fathers time...

If your not familiar with the tradition (this usually is where the unknowing bride gets VERY angry) it goes a little something like this....5 minutes until the reception is over, the groom is getting very nervous, not because he just realized he's no longer a single bachelor, but because his buddies, brothers, uncles, & cousin's are now surrounding him...
why you ask, well the groom is about to take a short ride to the nearest river, pond, lake, or canal...and is about to get thrown in by all of these loving men, some go willingly, some crawl out of church windows to get away, and some run for blocks, but I can guarantee they will get the groom in that water, it's all in fun and most grooms feel bad if their buddies didn't care enough to show up for this hilarious tradition!

on that note it was a wonderful wedding...and was our last wedding in the Brown family (tear)
thanks again to everyone that helped to make this event one to remember!
